That’s right. Hotwire’s hot rates that are usually offered at cut rate prices can now be booked with MileagePlus miles. This seems like a horrible way to redeem your MileagePlus miles.

I almost always find that you should stick with hotel programs for hotel awards and airline programs for airline awards. Rarely can you mix the two and get away with it.

The only exception is the SPG Program that has a 1.25 transfer value to many airlines if you move 20k Starwood points.
