Tired of Expensive Hotels? Here’s How to Sleep for Free in Hilton Hotels
Today only you can buy 250,000 Hilton HHonors Points for $0.0049 per point and apply for a Hilton Credit Card to earn an additional 40,000 to 100,000 HHonors Points.
For the past three four weeks there have been “Daily Getaways“ Deals sponsored by American Express and U.S. Travel Association. They ranged from events at Sea World to selling hotel loyalty points to book free award nights. For the second time, and last, Hilton HHonors points are being sold for a discount.

The Daily Deal
Today’s deal of the day is with Hilton Hotels to buy HHonors Points. This year they are offering three different amounts of miles at different price points; 100,000 for $550, 150,000 for $825 and 250,000 for $1,375.
If you use an AMEX card or a Citibank branded Amex, you get an additional 10% off.
There are only 100 deals for each amount of points and they sell out quick! The deal goes live at 1PM EST sharp, so be there on the dot or you will not be able to get in on this deal.
Hilton Credit Card
To top off on your Hilton HHonors points you can also apply for two Hilton Credit Card’s at the same time. One is the Citi Hilton Credit Card and the other is an AMEX Hilton card. Both Hilton Credit Cards have offers for 40,000 HHonors Points.
You can read more about them on my Best Travel Credit Card and Best Hotel Credit Card lists.
Hilton Award Nights
Another benefit of being a cardholder of a Hilton Credit Card branded AMEX is access to their discounted AXON reward chart. They provide discounted awards for 4-night stays at level 5, 6 and 7 Hilton hotels.
Award chart is courtesy of the incomparable Loyalty Traveler blog . There are tons more ways to save without having the Hilton AMEX card and you can stay tuned for more details coming soon.
To take advantage of this one-day Hilton Promo of $0.0049 per HHonors point a Category 7 AXON award would be the equivalent of spending $700 TOTAL for your hotel stay. Hilton has a global reach and is particularly good for it’s high end resorts in Europe and Bora Bora.
If you can’t take advantage of AXON or VIP award stays it might cost you a bit more. For one night stays here are the prices across Categories on the Hilton HHonors normal reward chart. Since you are buying each Hilton point at $00.0049, I take the amount of Hilton HHonors points necessary for a 4 night stay in each category and show you how much that stay costs you in cash.
Here you see that the Category 7 Hilton would be $980 if you monetize the value of your HHonors Points. To stretch the value of your HHonors points for Category 5 and higher, I would suggest using them abroad. Find hotels that price out in Euros or to exotic destinations like the Conrad on Mauritius.
Waldorf Astoria hotels each have their own reward chart for high and low seasons. Many of them have 60k HHonors and 50k HHonors points, respectively, but a couple have 80k and 70k. Read more here.
My aspiration travel revolves around Dream Trips which has costs would otherwise make it unreachable for me, unless I had points/miles to help me. Find out which hotels fall into your travel aspiration plans by searching all Hilton Category hotels.
Evaluate all of the price points and see which deal, if any, would work for you. But decide before 12:30pm EST so you can give yourself time to buy these HHonors points exactly as they go on sale at 1pm EST.
